The installation of Charon, the only fully integrated cemetery record system (data, accounting and mapping), is almost completed at all four cemetery sites operated by the Adelaide Cemeteries Authority.
The benefit of inputting data information once into the system reduces significantly the error potential of a multiple input system. To have our mapping updated in minutes has streamlined our public enquiry system (touchsreen), and the locator maps generated from the touchscreen ensures easy site identification. To now have the same service available on the internet is very exciting.
